What to Expect When Visiting…

When I visit Fellowship, where should I enter the building?

Fellowship has two suites in our building. The Worship Center is located at the north end of the building and the Family Center is located in the middle of the building. Adults, youth, and older children are invited to join us in the Worship Center for our Sunday morning Worship Gatherings. To enter, just come through one of the sets of double doors. Feel free to make your way to the coffee bar in the back of the room and enjoy a fresh cup of coffee while you visit with our church family. If you have children second grade or younger, you can drop them off at the Family Center located in the middle of the building complex.

Where should I park?

If you’re a first-time guest, parent with young children, or a senior adult, we encourage you to park in the lot in front of the church. We ask regular attenders to park across the street at Pediatric Specialty Care or on a nearby street.

What time do things start on Sunday?

During the school semesters, we have two Sunday morning Worship Gatherings. The first starts at 9:00 AM and the second at 10:30 AM. Our worship gatherings usually last about an hour. We also encourage folks to participate in our prayer group that meets between services (10:15 AM) in the Family Center. During school holidays (we follow the college holiday schedules), we will have just one service that starts at 10:30 AM.

What should I wear when I visit?

Fellowship Worship Gatherings are very casual. Although some people may choose to “dress up” a bit, most folks wear jeans or shorts. We encourage you to come as you are, be yourself, and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere as we seek God together.

What should I bring when I visit?

Most importantly, bring yourself and your family or friends! Since we teach from the bible each week, we encourage you to bring your personal bible with you. If you don’t have one, we have extras available at the Worship Center.

What is the style of worship at Fellowship Church?

Perhaps the best way to describe a worship service at Fellowship Church is “focused.” While we have a dynamic praise band and gifted biblical teachers, our worship services are designed to honor Christ and to enable people to encounter Him. Upbeat, contemporary music is often interspersed with intimate praise choruses and worshipful hymns. Often, you’ll hear from one of our members as they share what God is doing in their own life. Our overall goal in worship is to lead people to love God and through loving Him, to love others as well.

Is there a nursery available? What about my children?

Yes, we have a beautiful nursery in our Family Center with nurturing teachers to take care of your little ones. Additionally, we provide a full children’s program during our 9 AM worship service for children age 2nd grade and younger (children over second grade are encouraged to attend the Worship Gathering with their parents in the Worship Center). Your kids will love attending Fellowship Church.

How do I get involved at Fellowship Church?

It’s easy. Just come to our Worship Gatherings. Also, consider trying one of our K-Group Gatherings. These are small groups that meet in various homes on Sunday evenings. If you would like to try a K-Group, you can tell one of our pastors or fill out a Communication Card located on the back table in the Worship Center. After filling out the card, simply place it in one of our offering boxes located by the main door.

How do I become a member of Fellowship Church?

If you’re interested in joining Fellowship Church you can let us know by filling out one of our Communication Cards located on the back table of the Worship Center. Give us your name and contact information and check the box on the back indicating your desire to become a member. Once the card is completed, simply drop it in one of our offering boxes located by the main doors. Another option is to tell one of the pastors. Periodically, we offer a Connections Class luncheon where those who’ve expressed interest will hear about the doctrine, vision, and structure of the church. After attending the class, people are given the opportunity to sign a membership covenant and become a member of FC.
